Labor Candidate for Melbourne, Sarah Witty, joined Senator for Victoria, Jana Stewart, to announce that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will support the Hellenic Museum Melbourne to deliver its groundbreaking exhibition Rituals: Gifts for the Gods.
This $400,000 election commitment will help with showcasing over 8,000 years of Greek art, history, and culture, including rare artefacts from the Greek Ministry of Culture and partner museums.
The Hellenic Museum is renowned for its exceptional collection and its capacity to engage audiences in meaningful cultural dialogue. Rituals: Gifts for the Gods brings to life the spiritual and cultural traditions of ancient Greece, with over 100 rare artefacts on display.
The Museum’s work will also continue to enrich Melbourne’s tourism sector and provide an invaluable opportunity for Australian audiences to experience these treasures, never before seen outside of Greece.
